2013 Afcon qualifier, Saturday
Uganda (1) vs Congo Brazzaville (3)-Mandela National Stadium, Namboole
The pile of players the Uganda Cranes will do without in this weekend’s clash is getting bigger and more stressing to tactician, Bobby Williamson.
With Tony Mawejje out of the fray due to matching orders in Brazzaville, Isaac Isinde and Joseph Owino battling injuries, Swedish- based professional Martin Kayongo Mutumba joined the list. Mutumba suffered a muscle strain

in training that has ruled him out of this weekend’s second leg of the Cranes with Congo Brazzaville at Namboole Stadium this Saturday. He had his debut game at the international level for Uganda against the Angola’s Palancas Negras that ended 1-all. On his first home game, Mutumba, the dreadlocked play maker faced criticism from fans especially when the side was down by a goal. In January 2012, Mutumba got a Ugandan passport and was summoned in the Uganda national team squad that faced Congo Brazzaville in the Africa Cup of Nations (2013) qualifiers. However, he didn’t play spending all the 90 minutes on bench.
