
Express FC midfielder Yayo Lutimba is on the verge of signing for Bell Uganda Cup champions URA FC. The left footed midfield maestro who was instrumental in helping the Wankulukuku side bag the league championship is set to pen a deal that will see him feature for the tax collectors for two and half years. Yayo has been a revealation this season for Express FC scoring five goals and making several assists. Amongst his goals was the brace in the final league match against Bidco FC that saw Sam Ssimbwa’s side snatch the league title from the jaws of URA FC and Bunamwaya SC. After losing the league title last season, the Lugazi based side are set to strengthen the side ahead of the new campaign that will see the side also represent Uganda in Orange CAF Cup and Cecafa club championships that kick off next month in Dar Salam, Tanzania. Lutimba’s acquisition will solve URA FC’s problems on the left side of midfield but his versatility will s3 him employed in central midfield and left full back positions as well. Rumour doing the rounds also indicate that the side is in negotiations to hire the services of experienced tactician Sam Timbe and also chasing SC Villa winger Eurukana Nkugwa who were AWOL last season. However, the side is also set to lose skipper Manko Kawesa to Victoria University. The official transfer window according to FUFA is set to open on Monday 2nd July.
