Saturday Results

  • BUL 1-0 SC Villa
  • Kisugu United 1(4)-1(3) Paidha Black Angels

For the second successive season, SC Villa’s campaign in the Stanbic Uganda Cup has been halted by BUL.

Ronald Otti’s lone goal inside the opening ten minutes decided the eventful encounter played in the afternoon at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.

Otti’s goal arrived after just six minutes and the Uganda Cup holders held on till the final whistle.

However, they suffered especially in the last quarter of the game as Villa threw everything at them and were thrice denied by the goal frame.

The Jogoos also had a goal scored by Charles Bbale from close range flagged offside although it did appear he was onside by the time Kafumbe shot at goal with the ball bouncing off the goal post before Bbale slotted home.

In the other game on the day, Kampala Regional side Kisugu United continued their journey in the competition after winning a penalty shootout against visitors Paidha Black Angels at Bugolobi Coffee Ground.

The match ended 4-3 in the shootout after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Action will continue on Sunday with record winners Express in action against Lugazi Municipal at Luzira while KCCA will visit Kataka the following day in Mbale.
