Senegal national football team is expected to arrive Thursday in the country ahead of the much anticipated world cup qualifier tie against The cranes to be palyed this Saturday at Mandela national stadium, Namboole.

according to Fufa Head of communication, Rogers Mulindwa. Mulindaw said: “We expect a 27 man contigent in the country tomorrow (Thursday) but no formal communication on the time of arrival. However, their advance team arrived in the country on Tuesday and the rest are expected to travel by chartered plane. More so, even their advance team has kept us guessing but we have no problem with that”

The 2002 World Cup finalists are rumoured to be camping in Nairobi already acclimatising to the conditions in E. Africa and there is rumour doing rounds that former right back Ferdinand Corry is the man headiing the advance team.

As per FIFA requirement, the Papis Cisse led side will get a feel of Namboole on Friday.

Demba Ba Out

The side will however miss the services of Newcastle striker Demba Ba who has been ruled of the tie due to injury. The forward also missed the 3-1 win over Liberia in their opening game of the campaign and is not part of the 27 man squad travelling to Uganda

Senegal has met the cranes twice in history and have never lost a game aginst Uganda winning and drawing once. The side drew 1 all in Kampla in 2000 before thrashing The Cranes 3-0 in Dakar in the 2002 AFCON qualifier.
