SC.VILLA VS URA – NAMBOOLE LIVE ON SS9 KICK OFF: 3.00 PM

TEAM NEWS:

SC.VILLA will still be with out midfielder Noah Ssemakula who is still in Vietnam but good news is the return of Patrick Ssenfuka, Kirabira Isaac, Gassana Phillip and Simon Sserunkuma who missed the win over Simba SC last Friday which was the club’s maiden win of the season. The Jogoos have had a redundant week after their game against Utoda was washed out twice after Wankulukuku stadium became soggy and flooded due to rains. This didn’t go down well with Villa Coach Srdan Zivo who felt his team would have used the Utoda game as a confidence boaster before facing champions URA. Interesting though, the blues are meeting a club that knows them in and out as players like Steven Bengo, Andrew Mukasa, Brian Bwete, Simon Masaba, Robert Ssentongo, Henry Kisekka, Nsumba Augustine and coaches Ibrahim Kirya and Alex Isabirye have at one time had stints at Villa Park. Ahead of the clash, Villa assistant coach is confident his boys will deliver if they play according to

instructions.

ONE TO WATCH:

HERMAN WASSWA. The striker netted his first goal of the season against Simba sc and was a handful to simba defence throughout the game. URA defenders should be alert in order to keep him silent or else he may prove the difference for Villa. In Wasswa, zivo thinks he has the sharpest striker in the league and his goal against samba seems to have relieved the pressure off the boy. Last season, Wasswa struck the only goal of the match when he helped Masaka L.c beat the champions.

URA: The defending champions will be looking to get back to winning ways after an un convincing 2 all draw with Proline f.c last Friday at Lugazi. The tax collectors still lead the table with 14 points from 6 games and so far the strongest side in the league. Isabirye has no injury worries ahead of the game and he is confident he can beat Villa hands down. ‘’I respect villa but I don’t fear them, they are a good side with fantastic players but they are beatable and this is the right time to face them now that they have not yet hit top form’’. Said Isabirye. Former Villa Players Steven Bengo, Andrew Mukasa, Brian Bwete, Simon Masaba, Robert Ssentongo, Henry Kisekka, Nsumba Augustine, and Osama Farouk will be facing their former employees.

PLAYER TO WATCH:

ANDREW ‘FIMBO’ MUKASA: He made his name at Villa park where he scored a staggering record breaking 45 league goals in a single 1999 season. He has been out football for over 7 years but his appearance from the bench against Police FC in the league still showed why class is always permanent. He is eagerly awaiting his first goal for his new employees and villa defenders must watch him sternly if they are to handle his predatory instincts.

MASAKA L.C VS BUNAMWAYA S.CMASAKA RECREATION GROUND:  KICK OFF 4:30 PM

MASAKA L.C have not lost a single game in the league at their fortress Masaka Recreation ground and SC Villa is among the victims. Their only lost points at the stadium came on the opening day of the league against Police F.C. They surprisingly sit second on the table after 7 games after their win away to Bidco F.C last Friday. Captain Ronald Lukungu is by so far their best player having notched two goals already this season despite playing at left back. Bunamwaya must also be ready to neutralize the threat of Kigongo Baker who is the team’s most creative player.

BUNAMWAYA have won their previous three league outings having beaten Maroons F.C 1-0 on Friday at their new home stadium Buikwe in Kiyindi. In Martin Muwanga, the now Buikwe based side have a deadly striker in their ranks who defenders Tom Hiire and Lugemwa Livingstone must man mark if they are to prevent him scoring. Midfieder Murushid Jjuuko, scorer of their goal against Maroons will be the man to watch. Coach Edward Golola may still be with out the services of Uganda Cranes international Mike Mutyaba who is in the country but has not featured for the 2009 champions in their last two games.

Other games are:

MAROONS VS EXPRESS F.C LUZIRA.

PROLINE F.C VS VICTORS F.C NAKIVUBO.

SIMBA VS UTODA F.C BOMBO.
