Just a few days back, fuel company, Shell Uganda offered a huge shs.170 million boost to local body, Federation of Motorsport Uganda (FMU) for the Pearl of Africa rally set for July 13-15. Silver Springs Hotel, located in Bugolobi is also set to add shs.37.5million to the event organisers.
The event is the fifth on Africa Rally Championship calendar. According to clerk of course, David Bitalo, only Rwandan driver, Giancarlo Davita has picked the entry forms. Charles Muhangi and Charlie Lubega are the Ugandans who have won the event, when they were at their peaks.
