The men’s national league came to the end of the first round yesterday with Kampala beating Wanaichi B 7-0. Kampala’s goals were scored by Dulf Musoke’s hat trick (19’, 20’, 37’), Moses Nsereko (2’, 25’). John Kawalya (31’) and Javia Sanjuan (4’) scored the other goals at Lugogo Hockey Astroturf yesterday. This result thus put Kampala in 3rd place, as per the men’s league table standing as per goal difference.
The ladies’ game that was meant to take place did not take place as Rockets did not fulfill its financial obligations to the hockey association. Once this has been resolved, the scheduled games will commence.
