
A 41 man provisional squad has been released ahead of the England Counties tour to Uganda and Kenya next month. Though 14 of those didn’t play a part in the Elgon cup that Uganda lifted. Three Ugandans and 11 Kenyans were not part of the two legged tie that Uganda won 19-17 have been summoned. Prop Ronald Adigasi, flanker Robert Seguya and Hooker James Kimono from Sadolin Mongers, Toyota Buffaloes and utl Kobs respectively got the nod despite not taking part in this year’s showpiece.
The Elgon Warriors, includes reknown world sevens stars from Kenyan; brothers Humphrey Kayange and Collins Injera. Uganda Rugby Cranes captain Mathias Ochwo is part of the 19 players selected and they are not expected to continue with the ongoing Bamburi Rugby Super Series. The team will have a warm up match on June 2nd and its from there that the squad will be reduced to 32 players. The final squad ahead of the games set for June 9 and June 16 is expected to lean in favor of both Kenya and Uganda.
One of those games was set for the Mbale venue but it’s yet to be finalized at the level of competition. Former rugby cranes coach Ham Osando a Kenyan by birth is to head to the technical bench.
