Entebbe based golfer Willy Kitata redeem himself after finishing second in Uganda Open recently by claiming the MTN September Monthly Mug at the par 72 Kitante golf course on Saturday afternoon.
Kitata returned to the club house with a perfect score of 69 gross to claim the overall winner’s prize staving off a strong field of 200 golfers on a wet and fast course.
He was not the only golfer receiving plaudits and honours
for their game on the course Charles Hamya, returned to winning ways by winning group A with 69 nett score.
In-form Herbert Rwambibazi was group B winner with a astonising score of 66 nett while Kenneth Mateyo was group C winner with 75 nett.
Lady golfer Eva Magala warmed up for the Uganda Ladies Open next month perfectly by winning Ladies Group A with 71 nett on count back beating Getrude Acato who finished runner-up.
Annette Kiconco kept her good winning form intact by winning group B with 71 nett. Vincent Byamukama won the Professional series for the month of September with a gross score of 139.
