Nigeria Vs Mali – Moses Mabhida Stadium
After a two days break, action at the 2013 Africa Nations Cup resumes this Wednesday when giants Nigeria Super eagles and eagles of Mali face off in a battle for a final slot at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Super Eagles defied the odds to reach this stage of the competition as they eliminated favourites Ivory Coast 2-1, with Emmanuel Emenike and Joseph Mba scoring the goals.
On the other hand, The Eagles of Mali had to come back from being a goal down to hold hosts South Africa to a 1-1 draw before winning the match 3-1 on penalties.
Coach Stephen Keshi will again look to tournament leading scorer Emmanuel Emenike and Chelsea forward Victor Moses for goals with John Mikel Obi patrolling the midfield.
For Mali coach Patrice Carteron, inspirational skipper Seydou Keita who netted the only goal against South Africa that forced extra time will again be the main man.
Goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa is expected to return to the starting line up after missing the quarterfinal clash due to suspension, despite the heroics of back-up goalkeeper Soumalia Diakite, who saved to penalties during the shootout. The last meeting between the two sides at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations ended in a 0-0 draw. What are your PREDICTIONS?
