Charles Livingstone Mbabazi in deep thoughts

It has been a swift turn of events in the reports concerning the relationship of coach Livingstone Mbabazi and Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC.

For the second time running, Mbabazi missed the game where they humiliated Wakiso Giants in a 4-0 victory at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Sunday.

This all happened amidst reports that he has been relieved from work at the club something that Vipers refuted stressing the gaffer is only down to Malaria.

However, according to a reliable source, the gaffer has been given a chance to return to work after issuing an apology and pleading guilty to his earlier actions.

For starters, a source close to the club revealed to Kawowo Sports that Mbabazi was hardly part of any club activity since the one-draw against Bright Stars in the League.

“Vipers head coach Livingstone Mbabazi has been given the green light to resume work after a disciplinary hearing that happened yesterday night,” Clive Kyazze shared on his X handle.

“In the meeting, he pleaded guilty to all the actions and promised to do better going forward. Mbabazi will be the expected to lead Vipers in their next league game against KCCA at Kitende this Friday,” he added.

For the two games Mbabazi has been away, Vipers has picked two victories ahead of Iganga Young (3-0) and the most recent against Wakiso Giants (4-0) in their recent duel.

Under the assistant head coach, Richard Wasswa has smoothly propelled the troops to two victories in the absence of his boss.

Mbabazi comes back at a tricky time when the club badly wants maximum points to close the gap between them and log leaders Kitara FC.

Vipers lie third on the log with 35 points, five short of Kitara who sits on the summit of the league having played two games more.
