- BUL 0-1 SC Villa
SC Villa held on to beat hosts BUL 1-0 at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru thanks to a first half goal from David Owori despite a red card to Gavin Kizito.
The Jogoos who were missing over four players scored in the 40th minute when Owori got at the end of a good team move to slot home off a well laid ball by Ronald Ssekiganda.
But they were reduced to ten men in the 58th minute when Kizito was sent off for a blatant handball on the goal line to deny Abbey Kikomeko’s men.
BUL wasted the opportunity to draw the game level as Ibrahim Kazindula penalty was saved by Man of the Match Jean Brady Wokorach.
From then on, BUL attacked relentlessly but Villa held on for all points to maintain their unbeaten run on the road and climb to 4th place with 36 points, three behind second placed BUL and seven adrift of leaders Kitara but the two have played two more games than the Jogoos.
The two return to action after the international break with Villa at home to Mbarara City while BUL will travel to Kitara in the top of the table clash at Masindi – both games on March 29.
