Uganda Cranes defender Tobby Sibbick is overwhelmed by the call to be part of the national team.

This presents a golden chance for Sibbick to make his debut in the national colours.

Sibbick is glad for the achievement and promises to perform if trusted by the coach to play.

“It’s my first time to be with the boys and obviously I was excited to be called,” he stated.

“I cannot wait to see the facilities and the team ahead of the few friendly games in the coming days,” he added.

“I promise to give the best and carry myself well as I seek to get more calls up in the future.”

The 24-year-old defender Sibbick played ninety minutes for Hearts as they lost 2-1 to Ross County in the Scottish Premier League.

Hearts lie third on the log with 55 points gathered from 30 games.

In the friendly games, Uganda will play Comoros on Friday, March 22 before they take on Ghana four days later.

Both games will be played at Stade Grande Marrakech in Morocco.
