Uganda’s top squash player Michael Kawooya, recently meet the world number two squash player in the world Gregory Gaultier of France at the St. Petersburg White Nights Open in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
“It was a great honour to meet the world number two and he gave me a few squash tips which where helpful for me,” Kawooya said. “I believe the advise that he gave me with help me for the present and the future.”
Kawooya finished fifth out of the 16 players in the main draw at the Russian squash tournament and is now preparing to take part in the Prince Grand Prix tournament from August 30-September 1 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
It will be his second time that he will be going for the Prince Grand Prix and will be seeking to gain more experience from his journey to South Africa.
The Frenchman is one of the most successful French squash players of all-time, Gregory Gaultier notched up the 50th PSA World Tour final of his career in February this year at the Swedish Open – becoming only the second player on the current tour to celebrate this half-century milestone.
