Rines Secondary School recovered from a goal down to defeat Sheema Girls School 2-1 during the third quarter final contest of the 2024 Fresh Dairy Girls football competition.

Prisca Ayerago and Halimah Mupyanga netted Rines SS’ two goals with Shamira Katesi’s opener turning into a mere consolation at the Standard High School playground, Ndejje campus.

Katesi gave Sheema Girls School a 9th minute lead to spark wild celebrations.

The joy was however short lived with the equalizer by Ayerago eight minutes later as the opening stanza ended one goal apiece.

In the second half, Rines SS was hungrier with countless raids towards the opposition.

Mupyanga netted the winner in the 51st minute until they defended in numbers to win the game.

Amus College School condemned Sacred Hearts Secondary School Gulu 5-0 during the first quarter final duel on Wednesday morning.

Shayine Opisa netted a hat-trick whilst Edina Wanda and Dorren Wandera each scored a goal for Frank “Video” Anyau’s coached side.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School out-shot Uganda Martyrs High School 5-3 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended goalless.

Kawempe Muslim SS will now await the victor between Boni Concil Girls Vocational and St Noa Girls Secondary School who face off during the last quarter final on Wednesday afternoon.

The successful four schools will lock-horns in the semi-finals the subsequent day and the final on Friday, 21st June 2024.

Four schools will represent Uganda at the forthcoming 2024 FEASSSA Games to be co-hosted by Amus College and Bukedea Comprehensive.

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim SS are already guaranteed of a slot in the 2024 FEASSSA Games alongside the hosts Amus College and Bukedea Comprehensive.
