Baza Holdings 2 -1 Gulu University

Vurra 0- 2 The Saints

Gulu University suffered yet another  back with a defeat to Kampala perennial  FUFA big league  sie, Baza Holdings at Villa Park Stadium on Saturday.

Tadeo Mukisa opened the scoring charts with a well taken strike in the 37th minute before Anthony Papira gave the visitors some ray of hope for an away point with the equalizing goal 10 minutes after the half time recess.

However, Lawrence Bakiranze had different thoughts for the visitors as he netted a late winner, 13 minutes from full time to claim full points for the home side.

“I am overwhelmed for my first victory of the season, if i maintain on this trend, Super Division is not far away from me”, Baza Holdings manager cum Director, Mando spoke to kawowo Sports.

Gulu had lost out the opening fixture to Artland Football Club 2-0.

In the other matches played, The Saints got a crucial away 2-0 win in Moyo District following  Morris Karomaniz and former Aurum Roses and Banansi pacy winger, Faruku Kawooya’s priceless strikes. The Saints had been held to a goalless draw 2 days back in Arua during their opening match of the campaign.

Amazingly, home team Kigezi GS failed to show up against Kirinya-Jinja SS at their own Kabaale stadium.

The Big League organizing committee is yet to come up with the decision and final ruling for Kigezi GS football club.

Action resumes Sunday as Big league debutants, Lweza hosts Ndejje University at Kajjansi, FUFA President Moses Magogo’s Mutundwe Lions host Wandegeya at Kasenge PS and Kumi University entertain Hope Doves at Kumi University.
