At Old Kampala Sports Grounds
The 2013 Annual Handball Independence tournament is set to kick off this Saturday over 11 clubs,including Rwanda’s Nyakabamba at Old Kampala Secondary School Play grounds.
“The tournament should have involved primary and secondary schools will instead have only clubs participate as this is an academic term for most schools”, Handaball Federation Publicist, Carl Augustine Mugalu reveals.
Several clubs that Ever Green (men and women), Nkumba University Tornadoes (women), Kampala University (men and women), Police (men and women), and Mayungano (men and women) have all confirmed participation.
Nyakabamba Handball Club from Rwanda has also confirmed participation in the tournament.
“ Several teams from in and out of the country are expected to make late entries as well”, Mugalu is quick to add.
The tourney meant to celebrate Uganda’s 51st Independence anniversary which was celebrated on 9th October with the nation’s official celebrations held in the Western Uganda District of Rukungiri.
