ASAS Telecom 0-1 Red Arrows

Uganda’s SC Villa has been knocked out of the ongoing Cecafa Kagame Cup after Red Arrows win over ASAS Telecom.

The Jogoos, returning to the regional competition for the first time in 19 years finished as runners up in Group C with five points but Red Arrows win means they are out.

The victory for the Zambian side takes them to 6 points in their group, second on the log that has Al Hilal of Sudan as leaders with 9 points.

SC Villa, three-time winners of the regional club competition will now shift focus to the Fufa Super 8 and the Caf Champions League before turning eyes to the defence of their league title.

Villa left the tournament without defeat but won just one of their group games, beating Singida Blacks Stars 3-1 but draws against APR and Al Merriekh Bentiu have hurt their continuation in the competition.
