For the past decade, Namibia have been undisputed in the men’s Rugby Africa Cup. They have reached all Cup Finals of the tournament and won them convincingly.

But 2024 shall see a new champion after the Welwitschias were beaten by Zimbabwe in the Cup Semifinal at Namboole.

The Sables systematically destroyed the incumbent in all departments to win by a record 32-10 result.

Similarly, in the other semifinal, Algeria also shook the status quo by beating Kenya.

It was an afternoon of historic upsets. Since 2013, all Cup Finals in the men’s Rugby Africa Cup involved either Namibia or Kenya.

Come Sunday afternoon on July 28, 2024, a new chapter will be written in history when Zimbabwe and Algeria majestically match onto the pristine Namboole turf to play for top seed in Africa.

The Cup Final will kick off at 4 p.m. local time (EAT). It will broadcast LIVE on Kawowo Sports YouTube channel.
