Morocco humiliated Egypt 6-0 in the bronze medal match of the 2024 Olympics at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes city, France on Thursday evening.

Soufiane Rahimi scored a brace with the other four goals coming from Abde Ezzalzouli, Bilal El Khannous, Akram Nakach and captain Achraf Hakimi during the contest officiated by Espen Andreas Eskas.

Ezzalzouli gave Morocco the lead in the 23rd minute with the assist coming from Zakaria El Ouahdi.

Three minutes later, Ezzalzouli assisted Rahimi past goalkeeper Hamza Alaa as they made it 2-0 at the half-way break.

El Khannous scored the third goal on 50 minutes before Soufiane extended the lead on the hour mark for his eighth goal of the competition.

It was 5-0 after Nakach’s goal in the 73rd minute and Hakimi sealed their sweet victory with three minutes to play.

Morocco takes the bronze and Egypt finishes fourth. The final will be between France and Spain on Friday, 9th August 2024.
