The chase for the 2024 National Rally Championship title returns this weekend for the fifth round in Fort Portal.
23 crews have been cleared to compete in the two-day event which starts on Saturday.
Missing in action is championship leader Jas Mangat, whose business schedule barred him from taking part this weekend.
Mangat’s no-show passes the advantage to other title contenders to claim the lead after the weekend’s rally.
Only 22 points separate Mangat and second-placed Moustapha Mukasa. For Mukasa to take the championship lead, he must maintain a top-three position.
Other crews eyeing the lead include Nasser Mutebi, Ronald Sebuguzi and Jonas Kansiime. The crews must target victory this weekend.
The title fights are expected in the Clubman and the Two-wheel Drive categories.
The rally has eight stages covering a total competitive distance of 130.48kilometres
