Group C:
Rwanda 0 – 1 Sudan
Sudan who led by half-time through a Salah Ibrahim beautiful strike have become the first team of the 2013 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Benefiting from a lost ball by defender, Ismael Nshutiyamara, fast paced Sudanese forward, Salah Ibrahim fired in the roof of the net from 30 yards for the day’s only strike at the Nairobi City Stadium Artifical Turf.
Sudan now temporarily leads group C with 6 points, with Uganda Cranes set to play Eritrea in the second group game of the day at the same arena.
Sudan will complete their fixtures with a date against Uganda while Rwanda plays Eritrea in the other game.
