Mere mention of the annual pool day reminds many a pool faithful glittering plaques, cash prizes, trophies, lots of delicious food, drinks, the fashion statements, unending entertainment and obviously fun partying.
The Pool day is set for Emerald Hotel in Kampala this Saturday. The best players and teams all season round will be rewarded with various prizes ranging from cash, awards, certificates to trophies.
“Like it has always been, the pool day is that time to merry make and be happy all the evening with unending entertainment”, says the Pool Association of Uganda Publicist, Michael Mawanda.
According to the programme of the day that Kawowo Sports confirms, guests will start trekking in as early as 5 pm with endless rounds of drinks likely to dominate the tables.
Various players and teams that excelled in the year 2013 will be rewarded with trophies, awards and certificates meanwhile as entertainment from established and up coming musicians and comedians takes center stage. A surprise guest artist is expected with comedian Bright Onek already booked to keep the fans laughing their lungs out.
“On that day, the second edition of the PAU magazine will be launched”, says Robert ‘Pipo’ Kayanja, the editor in chief of the annual publication.
The day is exclusively organised by the Pool Association of Uganda (P.A.U) and is sponsored by Nile Breweries under the champion brand, Nile Special Lager.
