A few days after his suspension from the SC Victoria University camp for alleged indiscipline, midfielder Mike Sserumaga has launched an attack on the club coaches labeling them as biased and money minded.

Uganda’s representatives in Caf Confederations Cup on Monday 3 announced on the club’s official website that Serumaga had been expelled from the team Hotel for allegedly missing a team meeting on Sunday.

The statement further revealed that Serumaga sneaked out of the hotel and returned under the influence of Alcohol something that prompted the technical bench headed by Coach Morley Byekwaso to suspend him and missed the trip to DR Congo for the tie against CS Don Bosco.

“We have discussed the issue and decided the best thing was to send the player away from camp. Such behaviours cannot be entertained at all,” said Head Coach Morley Byekwaso.

In retaliation, the nomadic footballer launched a scathing attack on the coach via his facebook page.

“Senior players are so biased by coaches. Omwana womugagga DAN has to be on sure deal coz he paid in something. No money no football?? Therefore there is a probability for u to play. It’s a shame for them,” Serumaga wrote on his facebook timeline.

For starters, the attack was directed to Morley Byekwaso who Serumaga alleges to favour Daniel Isiagi, one of the club’s new signings.

He alleges that Isiagi is favoured not for his talent but his father’s wealth. This is so foolish for a player whose indiscipline record is well documented.

Serumaga has been a problem at whichever club he has featured and at no time has left a club amicably. His indiscipline record has not only been felt at club level but on the national team too.

In June 2012, Uganda Cranes Coach then Bobby Williamson suspended Serumaga on the eve of the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Senegal for a similar reason.

The midfielder sneaked out of camp and went to party in night clubs something that prompted Bobby to leave him out of his match day squad.

In 2009, Sweden side Helsingborg which he had joined just a few months terminated his contract after suffering a knee injury in a village football game while his side had given him time off after conclusion of the 2008 season.

Serumaga was featuring for local club KB Lions then and missed on a golden opportunity of launching his career in Europe.

On recovery, Bunamwaya SC (Vipers SC) signed him up but the midfielder refused to train a few months into his contract after delayed payment of his sign-on fee.

This prompted the club to expel him before he landed a deal at URA FC but after just a single 2009/10 season, the club didn’t renew his contract citing indiscipline.

According to club’s secretary then Ali Mwebe, URA FC said Serumaga’s contract wasn’t renewed not because of form but indiscipline that among others included over drinking, insubordination and missing of training sessions.

For Serumaga to blame Morley Byekwaso and Daniel Isiagi for his suspension from the club is directing his shots in a wrong direction.

None of the two was at Uganda Cranes, URA FC and Bunamwaya SC (Vipers SC) where he also fell out with the hierarchy.

Serumaga must carry his own cross and stop the blame game otherwise his career on the path to the books of wasted talents.
