This Sunday, 3rd November 2024, Buhimba United Saints will entertain former Uganda Premier League side MYDA at their Kigaaya sports ground fortress in Hoima.

Former Uganda Cranes international Paul “Latest” Nkata has reunited with FUFA Big League entity Buhimba United Saints Football Club.

The Hoima based club officially announced the return of the 64-year-old legend on Wednesday, 30th October 2024.

“Buhimba United Saints Football Club is thrilled to announce the official unveiling of coach Nkata Paul” the club posted.

Rev. Father Geofrey Tumusiime Abwooli ushered in Nkata’s return to the club.

“We are delighted to welcome Coach Nkata back to the Saints family. His expertise and experience will undoubtedly strengthen our team’s performance.” Tumusiime stated.

The club recently lost their head coach George William Lutalo who crossed over to top flight side Kitara.

Nkata was at the helm of the club from the regional league (third division) as he guided the Kikuube Giants to promotion to the FUFA Big League.

He openly expressed his delight upon return to the club.

“I am excited to return to Buhimba United Saints Football Club” Nkata sighed.

“I am here to contribute to the team’s success. We will work tirelessly to achieve our goals.” The former Uganda Cranes international who also featured at Nsambya, Bunamwaya, Express and Sports Club Villa added.

His vast coaching journey has witnessed him handle Misindye, Sports Club Villa, Express, Uganda Revenue Authority in Uganda.

He has also had spells in Kenya with Gor Mahia, Nairobi City Star, Muhoroni Youth, Kakamega Home Boyz, Bandari and Tusker whilst his latest exploits in Tanzania witnessed him handle Kagera Sugar Football Club.
