Uganda has fallen to neighbours Kenya in the 2024 women’s Rugby Africa 7s semifinal. It was a crashing 19-00 defeat, in which Uganda did not score any points for the first time in the tournament.
This means that Uganda’s charge for their first appearance in the Africa 7s final since 2018 has failed. They will play for the bronze medal against Madagascar at 6.53 p.m. EAT (3.53 p.m. local time).
A bronze medal in Accra will earn Uganda a ticket to the 2025 World Rugby 7s Challenger Series.
