APR men’s and women’s Volleyball Clubs clinched the victory in the just concluded CAVB Zone V Club Championship at Lugogo Indoor Arena, Kampala.
In the ladies’ category, APR managed a 3-1 comeback victory against Kenya Pipeline Volleyball.
The Rwandan side went down early (25-20) at the end of the first set as Pipeline gave the game the right momentum.
APR levelled the sets after taking the second period winning 25-17. They greatly improved with a net defence led by middle blocker Albertine Uwiringiymana.
From that point onwards, APR hit the second gear as they edged Pipeline 26-24 in a closely contested third set.
Despite Pipeline’s fight in the fourth set, APR came out of the blocks victorious (25-23) to seal the game.
With this remarkable victory, APR reaffirmed its dominance in the region, showcasing skill, resilience, and determination.
