Ahead of today’s first leg African U-17 youth qualifier, Uganda Cubs head coach, Matia Lule believes his troops are in the right frame of mind.

Uganda is playing Sehcyelles in the opening fixture on Saturday at the Victoria Stadium, an artifical turf.

“All the players have been physciologically prepared. The mental strength wins football fixtures whether home or away”, he told Kawowo Sports.

Matia also adds that the Ugandan youngsters will not be playing under any sort of pressure since this is the opening international tournament for many of them.

“I have personally talked to each of the players that travelled to have composure, play to enjoy and win as well”, he adds.

Goal keeper Edward Kasibante from Bukalagi High school is expected to start ahead of Eric Kibowa.

Skipper, Andrew Okiring will mann the right back with St Joseph Layibi’s Stephen Bongomin expected to play the left back role.

Towering Kato Samuel Nemeyimana, a S.2 student at Buddu s.s.and  the 2013 MVP at Copa Coca Cola, Alex Komakech (from St Juliana) will be stationed at the heart of the defence line.

If Matia Lule is to opt for a 3 man midfield, enterprizing midfielder, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye of Kakungulu Memorial, Julius Poloto  (Kasawo s.s)and Cwinyu Oting (St Juliana) will play the department.

A 3 man attack force is inevitably planned. Goal machine, Muhammed Shaban, Most Valubale Player (MVP) at the 2014 Copa Coca Cola championships will lead the line.

Luwalo Kipper, fresh from trials in Canada and Gor Mahia’s academy player, Emmanuel Olinga the other feeder players to the attack.

The return leg will be played on 28th June 2014 at Nakivubo Stadium.
