2nd Woodball National Trials:

At MUBS, Nakawa fairway
The 2nd National Woodball team trial is set to take place this Saturday at the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) fairways in Nakawa.
“The trials will be attended by the top 36 competitors (18 men and 18 ladies) from the 1st trial held in June”, John Baptist Kateregga, Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) administrator revealed.
The Championship is targeted at the World woodball and University championships in Sanya (China) and Perlis (Malaysia) cities respectively.
Uganda will be represented by a team of youth selected during the 5th ICPAU Juniors Woodball Championship at the 6th World Cup Woodball Championship under the Youth Category meant for people under 17 years.
Uganda Woodball Federation president, Mark Paul Kayongo believes all the major stakeholders will come up and save the sport.
“Given the prominence and support from the Government of Uganda, Embassy of China, IWbF, Ndejje University and other stakeholders, we truly believe that Woodball would strive to greater heights in short time with the boost of equipment being made locally.” UWbF President, Paul Mark Kayongo assured.
