The ever exciting NIle special national pool open championships return to Kampala, in Rubaga division.
This follows a weekend spent in the western part of the country in Mbarara, Ibanda, Kabale and Isingiro regionals.
Friday action will be held at the Orange bar in Nalukolongo and Natete shopping mall while Saturday will be played at the Jacaranda and Labamba pubs.
3 winners per centre qualify for the national finals which will be held at Lugogo indoor stadium on the 6th August 2014.
The winner at the region pockets ug.shs 150,000 while the first and second runners up take ug.shs 100,000 and ug.shs 50,000 respectively.
This year, just like the previous edition, the overall winner will drive home with a brand new Toyota Brevis.
He will also pocket Ug.shs 2M, a winners’ gold medal and a pool table.
Last year’s winner, Jonah ‘Joker’ Turigye will be joined by the 7 other seeded players and 120 players who make it from the regionals for the national finals at Lugogo.
The event, the biggest on the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) calendar is exclusively sponsored by Nile Breweries under the brand, Nile Special lager.
