Wednesday May 7, 2025

  • SC Villa vs KCCA – Wankulukuku 4pm
  • Vipers SC vs Mbale Heroes – Kitende 7pm
  • NEC vs BUL – Lugogo 7pm

The 2024/25 league title could be decided this Wednesday depending on results from Vipers and NEC matches.

The table leaders Vipers host already relegated Mbale Heroes at the St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende in a fixture they are more fancied to clinch victory.

With 62 points, they are five points ahead of second placed NEC who host a BUL side yet to taste defeat in the second round.

In case John Ayala Luyinda and Fred Muhumuzza win, they will move to 65 points with six points remaining to play for.

That implies that NEC must beat BUL to keep their title hopes alive and prolong the championship to at least the next match day.

A defeat or draw for Hussein Mbalangu’s men at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo coupled with Vipers victory over the Surgeons will automatically open an-eight/seven-point gap at the top.

Elsewhere on the day, traditional rivals KCCA and SC Villa lock horns at the Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku in the early kick off.
