Vipers SC is one victory away from clinching the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League title following their convincing win over Mbale Heroes FC.
The Venoms put up a commanding performance to washout already relegated Mbale Heroes FC 6-0 at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The aforementioned result coupled with NEC’s draw against BUL FC means Vipers need just one win from the remaining three games to win their seventh League title.
Captain Milton Karisa led the way for Vipers SC, scoring the first goal of the game in the 22nd minute. He later on added another after the break.
The other goals came from Yunus Sentamu, Allan Okello and substitutes Mohammad Selam Ekbad and Kenneth Kimera.
The result took Vipers to 65 points, seven ahead of second placed NEC FC.
A win against BUL FC over the weekend will confirm SC Vipers as Champions.
