Overview:
The eight successful members will be joined by two others that will be nominated by the Executive Committee to make ten who will then elect their chairperson and secretary.
The Uganda Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Uganda athletes’ commission was recently completed.
This followed a successful election held at the headquarters in Lugogo, Kampala.
Shadir Musa Bwogi (Boxing), Michael Okorach (Rugby), Ganzi Semu Mugula (Swimming) and Hamza Ndiwalana (Archery and shooting) are the male athletes on the commission.
The female representatives are Leticia Namutebi (football), Desire Mukisa (Hockey), Shida Leni (Athletics) and Jamila Nsibambi Lunkuse (swimming).

Unsuccessful:
The voting for the athletes’ representatives on the commission left out Allan Valentine Omiella, Fred Ssekate, Agnes Nakuya, Husina Kobugabe, Martha Kyokusiima, Catherine Nanziri and Talikaza Zubeda.
