Vipers SC co-coach Fred Muhumuza has stated that he is not underrating KCCA FC ahead of the Stanbic Uganda Cup final this Saturday at Kadiba Stadium.
KCCA had a tough run in the League, ending the season in fifth place, 19 points behind eventual Champions Vipers.
However, Muhumuza who was addressing the media on Wednesday at FUFA Complex, Mengo, indicated they will not get carried away by the aforementioned fact, indicating KCCA FC is a good side capable of beating any team.
“KCCA is a good team with talented players capable of beating anyone. I know they had a rough run in the League but we cannot entirely base on that ahead of the final. We know they will come all out because there is so much at stake,” he started.
“We are therefore prepared and focused ready to give our best performance. Games like this are won on moments meaning we have to raise to the occassion.”
After wrapping up the League title, the Venoms are seeking to win their second domestic double having attained the feat two years ago.
The last time, the two teams faced off in a Uganda Cup final was in 2018 and KCCA FC edged the contest 1-0 courtersy of Julius Poloto’s goal at Emokori Ground in Bukedea.
