Calvary Football Club stormed to the summit of the 2024-2025 FUFA Big League after match day 27.
This followed a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Kaaro Karungi at the Midigo playground in Yumbe on Sunday, 1st June 2025.
Christopher Agotre, Simon Peter Odeke, and Junior Emmanuel Ojok found the back of the net for Calvary.
Calvary now has 48 points from 26 matches played. They share the same number of points as second placed Buhimba United Saints who have played 25 matches.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi climbed to third position following their 2-0 home victory over visiting Arua Hill at the Works playground in Entebbe.
Veteran forward Frank Kalanda came off the bench to put Gaddafi in the head on 82 minutes.
Five minutes later, Yasir Mugume scored the winner to give the Entebbe based club the maximum points.
Away in Bukedea district, at the Kongunga playground, MYDA overcame visiting Blacks Power 1-0.
Blacks Power fell for the fourth consecutive time this season as they drop to 5th on the table standings with 42 points.
Consequently, MYDA jumped out of the relegation red zone to 11th with now 29 points.
In Arua, Onduparaka condemned Kigezi Home Boyz with a 2-1 win at the Aba-Bet Green Light Stadium.
Junior Andama and Dominic Abonga scored in the 32nd and 33rd minutes respectively.
Onduparaka who are christened as the Catarpillars thus climbed to 6th with 37 points off 26 matches played.
The game between Ntugasaze and Booma that was supposed to be played at the Mityana Ssaza ground did not take place after Booma failed to travel.
