  • KIU Titans 86-67 Livingstone

KIU Titans registered a well-deserved victory defeating Livingstone 86-67 in their National Basketball League encounter at Abja Park, Nalya on Wednesday.

Its was an evening to remember as the Titans secured the first victory of the campaign.

Titans started on the front foot opening a 20-point (33-13) lead at the end of the first quarter.

Arthur Namugowa’s long shot beyond the arc concluded the second quarter as the Titans took a 24-point (52-28) lead into the long break.

Coming from the halftime break, Titans added salt to Livingstone’s wounds as they extended the lead to 32 points at the the end of the third period.

Despite a strong first by Livingstone in the final period, they trailed by 19 points at the end of the game.

William Saverino (19 points), Ambrose Olum (17 points) and Hon Kwany (17 points) led the Titans’ scoring chart in double digits.

Only Hetbert Muhumuza (17 points) and Ivan Rubanga reached double digits for Livingstone.
