Tournament: Kwibuka T20 Women’s Tournament

Game 3: Uganda W v Sierra Leone W

  • Sierra Leone 32 all out
  • Uganda 33/0
  • Uganda won by 10 wickets

Victoria Pearls didn’t break a sweat in their 10-wicket win against West Africans, Sierra Leone.

The defending champions picked up their third win of the tournament to stay in touch with the leaders.

Uganda won the toss and elected to bowl first in the overcast conditions and the innings belonged to Kevin Amuge who ripped through the line up with best career figures of 6/19. Her consistent line and movement troubled the Sierra Leone batters in the difficult conditions.

Sarah Akiteng 3/0 and Sarah Tino completed the rout and dismissed Sierra Leone for just 32, the lowest total of the tournament.

Janet Mbabazi (19) and Esther Iloku (12) knocked off the required runs for a one-sided 10-wicket win inside 5 Overs.

The Victoria Pearls take on Brazil on Saturday, June 7 at 10:30 am, EAT.
