KCCA Leopards secured a well-deserved 61-49 victory against Angels in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.
It’s the second straight victory of the weekend as the Leopards beat KIU Rangers on Friday.
Tracy Namugosa’s driving layup opened a two-point (19-17) lead at the end of the first quarter.
Martha Patience Likicho’s long effort beyond the arc at the end of the second period reduced the Angels’ deficit to three points (26-29) going into the halftime break.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Leopards doubled their efforts as they extended their lead to 15 (48-33) points.
Despite the Angels’ strong fight in the final period they trailed by 12 points (61-49) at the end of the game.
Susan Rebecca Aanyu (14 points) and Tracy Namugosa (12 points) led the Leopards’ scoring board in double digits.
Only Caroline Nakato (10 points) reached double digits for the Angels.
