UCU Canons secured a well-deserved 77-68 victory against KIU Titans in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Mukono-based side is on a three-game perfect streak beating JKL Dolphins (66-59), Namuwongo Blazers (62-61) and KIU Titans (77-68).
KIU Titans came out of the blocks early before opening a one-point lead (20-19) at the end of the opening period.
However, the Canons responded perfectly to take a four-point (36-32) lead going into the halftime break.
Coming from the locker rooms, Canons opened an 11-point (57-46) lead with Carl Loum’s jumpshot concluding the third quarter.
Despite KIU Titans’ fight in the final period, Canons ran away with a nine-point victory.
Carl Loum staged a massive performance, dropping 11 points and pulling down 13 rebounds in a double-double.
In the same breath, Ibanda Lwabaga (23 points) and Ekirapa Zachariah (15 points) in double digits.
Daniel Odokonyero (22 points) and Peter Akok (15 points) scored double digits for the KIU Titans.
