- Miracle Eaglets 48-93 KCCA Leopards
It was a one-way affair as the KCCA Leopards secured a well-deserved 93-48 victory against Miracle Eaglets in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
The Leopards staged a sweet revenge against Miracle Eaglets, who beat them to their maiden loss of the campaign.
The KCCA Leopards opened a two-point (20-18) lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Leopards extended their lead to 17 points as they took a comfortable lead in the long break.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Miracle Eaglets were limited to only 10 points as they trailed by 32 points (38-70) at the end of the third quarter.
Martha Soigi’s long shot put the icing on the cake as the Leopards secured a 45-point victory on the day.
Margaret Bagaala posted a double-double scoring 34 points and pulling down 11 points in a colourful performance.
In the same spirit, Tracy Namugosa scored a 34-point game high before Uwineza added 14 points in double digits.
On the other hand, only Isabella Namugabo (11 points) and Mariam Namukwaya (10 points) are the only Eaglets who managed to reach double digits.
