Rezlife Saints secured a 79-59 well-deserved victory in the National Basketball League encounter at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday.
The Saints secured their 10th victory of the day they baptised the clueless Panthers on the day.
Rezlife Saints came out of the blocks early to open an 11-0 run before creating an eight-point (24-16) lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Saints easily beat the Panthers’ full-court press, moving to the halftime break with a 15-point (46-31) lead.
Coming from the long break, both sides spent the first three minutes without making a successful attempt. At the end of the third quarter, the Saints held onto a 16-point (57-41) lead.
Despite resorting to a full-court press in the final press, the Saints manoeuvred through to seal a massive 20-point victory.
Francis Kasinde (20 points), Christopher Omanyi (15 points), Michael Otieno (12 points) and Suka Fadul (12 points) led the Saints’ scoring chart in double digits.
Only Toussaint Mampuya (16 points) and Ivan Lumanyika (11 points) were the only Leopards to reach double digits.
