The Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards for July 2025 were conducted at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo, Kampala on Tuesday, 5th August.

Professional boxer Frank Kiwalabye as well as the Rally crew of Ponsiano Lwakataka and Paul Musaazi won the accolades accompanied by Ug.Sh 500,000 each.

The life time achievement award was given to veteran football administrator Yusuf Chuni Kyeyune.

The awarding ceremony was presided over by Isaac Mukasa (Executive director for Real Stars Sports Agency), Head of marketing and promotions Henry Zzimbe and Resty Mbatidde (assistant liaisons manager for Fortebet).

World champion Kiwalabye won the WBU super bantam weight fight over a Tanzanian with a knock out in the third round.

“I am happy for this victory. I thank the sponsors, media and my personal management. I yearn for more accolades.” Kiwalabye who edged Aziz Rigo and Olympian Catherine Nanziri remarked.

Motorsport:

Ponsiano Lwakataka and co-driver Paul Musaazi won the motorsport award.

The duo christened as “Team Mafu-Mafu” drove a Subaru Impreza N12B machine won the 2025 Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally, clocking 1:25:16.5 to ascend the leaderboard of the NRC standings.

They defeated Hassan Alwi and Musa Nsubuga (Ford Fiesta Proto) and Ronald Ssebuguzi and Anthony Ssebuguzi (also driving Ford Fiesta Proto).

“Like I promised, I would be back for the award. I am here once again. I am glad for the support of all the people (Maanyi ga bantu) and all my sponsors; SMK tyres, BAM Petroleum, the different garages” he appreciated.

Meanwhile, the life time achievement award was won by long term football administrator Yusuf “Cow Boy” Yusuf Chuni Kyeyune.

Now 63 years of age, Chuni was singled out for his four decades contribution to football as a player, club owner, administrator and fanatic.

“I want to appreciate this award for the time and service given to football. I am honoured” Chuni who is also baptized as the football professor remarked.

Chuni commenced his football career as a left footed winger as City Cubs football club.

He then moved to Wandegeya, Cooperative, Nakivubo Boys and Express.

Chuni also featured for the U-17 Uganda national team.

He has also managed different clubs as KASE, Nakivubo Boys, State House, Chicago, Kampala United and Sports Club Villa, among others.

The “professor” is also a former FUFA competitions committee member.

For starters, the Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards were initiated in 2018.
