Uganda Premier League side, URA Football Club, has confirmed the signing of Fred Amaku on a two-year employment contract.
The forward joins the Tax Collectors as a free agent from Kitara FC in the ongoing transfer window.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
“URA FC is delighted to announce the acquisition of prolific forward Fred Amaku,” the statement partly reads.
Amaku revealed that joining the Tax Collectors is a big step in his career, and he is ready for the challenge ahead.
“Joining URA FC is a big step in my career, and I’m truly excited for this new challenge. This is a club with great ambition and tradition, and I want to be part of its success story,” Amaku was quoted by the club’s website.
“I have come here to work hard, score goals and help the team compete at the very top. My target is simple, hit double figures in goals, deliver important performances and make fans proud,” he added.
URA has successfully secured Amaku’s signature, overcoming strong competition from his former club Maroons FC and Kitara, who wanted him to stay longer.
Amaku becomes URA’s third signing following forward Kabon Living and goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima.
