In one of the most one sided duels at the on-going CHAN 2024, Sudan clobbered African football powerhouse 4-0 during group D duel at the Amaan stadium in Zanzibar city on Tuesday, 12th August 2025.
Al Hilal Omdurman midfielder Abdelrazig Omer scored a brace in this contest.
Leonard Ngenge (own goal) and Walieldin Khidir added the other goals for the dominant Sudanese.
Ngenge diverted the goal into his own net to give Sudan the lead in the 25th minute.
Walieldin struck home a penalty on the stroke of half time to establish a 2-0 half time lead for the CECAFA zone representatives.
Star of the match Abdelrazig hit his first goal of the match ten minutes into the second half, making it 3-0.
He completed his brace two minutes after the hour mark as Sudan further stamped authority onto the game.

Senegal scored the opener for Senegal through Dechan Moussavou in the 19th minute thanks to Charles Atipo’s donkey work.
Layousse Samb grabbed the equalizer with eight minutes to play.
The Teungueth defender scored off Seck Ousseynou’s assist.
Action continues in Group B with a double header on Wednesday, 13th August 2025 at the Benjamin Mkapa national stadium, Dar-es-Salaam.
