Women football action at the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kakamega county

Three Ugandan schools have made the grade to the semifinal at the 2025 FEASSA Games.

St Noa Girls School – Zana, Kawempe Muslim and Amus College School have all qualified for the semifinals.

Kenya’s Archibishop Njenga Girls is the other team at the last four stage.

St Noa Girls School topped Group A with 13 points, as Kawempe Muslim followed suit with 11 points.

Archbishop Njenga Girls topped Group B with 12 points. Amus College School finished with 10 points, with a better goal difference over Butere Girls.

Faith Akol was the heroine for Amus College School who edged Kobala Secondary School 1-0 in their final Group B game.

Semifinal Fixture:

Kawempe Muslim will face Archbishop Njenga Girls in the first semifinal at the Kakamega High School outside playground on Wednesday, 20th August 2025.

St Noa Girls School Zana will tussle with Amus College at the same venue in the second semifinal.

Soccer aside for girls, there has been boys’ football where Ugandan teams have virtually struggled.

Other games include beach volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, table tennis, badminton, swimming, athletics, rugby (7’s and 15’s), basketball (3×3 and 5×5), hockey, goalball, volleyball, cricket, dancesport, scrabble, chess and others.

The games are expected to climax on Friday, 22nd August 2025.

Uganda is the overall defending champion.
