Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers SC have confirmed the acquisition of Liberian winger Robin Kane Hney on a three-year deal.

The Venons confirmed the arrival of Hney on Thursday, “ The 20-year-old joins the Venoms from Albanian outfit Apolonia Fier, where he made 12 appearances last season, netting two goals and providing five assists.”

At Vipers SC, he re-unites with coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert whom he worked with at FC Fassell in Liberia.

“Robin brings youthful energy, creativity, and versatility to our attack,” Coach Minneart stated as quoted by viperssc.co.ug. “He is hungry to prove himself, and we believe he will excite our fans and add another dimension to our forward play.”

The Liberian becomes the club’s fifth signing of the window, following the arrivals of midfielder Enock Ssebaggala, Odili Chukwuma, Kevin Dasylva Bady, and fellow Liberian forward Mark Yallah.

Vipers SC is preparing for the new season that will see them engage in CAF Champions League where they face Namibia’s African Stars in the pteliminary round next month.

The team is currently in Rwanda where they will play friendly games, starting with Azam FC on Friday.
