Friday October 24, 2014: Vipers SC Vs Kira Young FC, Buikwe – 4.30PM

In a space of three days, Uganda Premier League action returns to Buikwe where Vipers SC host Kira Young FC in a game that will see both sides seek to return to winning ways.

The hosts lost their 100% start to the campaign following that 2-2 draw with champions KCC FC on Tuesday whilst Kira Young’s last win came on match day one at Express FC.

“It’s a crucial game after that draw with KCC FC,” Edward Golola told Kawowo Sports. “We need not only a return to winning ways but also give our fans their first season home triumph,” he added.

Vipers SC will still be without skipper Joseph Mpande but are buoyed by the form of Mike Mutyaba whose brace salvaged a point for the side against KCC FC. Besides, Farouq Miya and Keziron Kizito are also enjoying good form at the moment.

For Kira Young, coach Paul Nkata’s tone has as expected changed from day one when he described a 2-0 victory over Express FC as a warning signal to the rest of the opponents.
Things haven’t gone our away since day one but am hopeful we can win in Buikwe.
Skipper Baker Lukooya, Moses Ndaula and Samuel Kayongo will be key for the visitors if they are to pick a decent a result against the 2010 champions.

Vipers are 3rd on the league table with 10 points from 4 games and victory against 12th place Kira will see them leapfrog Police FC to second with 13 points.
