Uganda U20 Women’s National Football Team progressed to the last qualification phase after easing past Namibia over the two legs.
The Queen Cranes secured a 2-0 win in the return leg on Monday at FUFA-Kadiba Stadium to advance 5-0 on aggregate.
It should be noted that Uganda won the reverse fixture 3-0 at the same venue with Namibia opting to host their game in Uganda.
In today’s encounter, Peace Muduwa and Agnes Nabukenya scored a goal each in the first half to guide Uganda to victory.
Muduwa opened the scores in the 32nd minute with her effort at the near post beating the goalkeeper Namibian goalkeeper.
Five minutes before the break, Nabukenya doubled the lead, drilling home from close range.
Uganda will now await the winner between Zambia and Burundi where the former leads 2-1 with the return leg slated for Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
