2025 Taibah Schools’ Independence Sports Tournament
Different winners:
- Football (U-20 Boys): Agro Links Academy
- Football (U-15 Boys): Kisubi High School
- Football (Girls): Vikas International School
- Netball: Taibah International School
- Basketball (Juniors Girls): Elite High School
- Basketball (Juniors Boys): Elite High School
- Basketball (U-20 Boys): Elite High School
- Volleyball: Trinity High School
Happening every third term of the Uganda education curriculum, the annual Taibah schools sports independence tournament has now been held for the fifth time.
Several success scripts have been written and rich tales of development boldly told.
This year’s edition successfully climaxed on Sunday, 5th October 2025 at the main playground of Taibah International School in Bwebajja, along Entebbe road after a fortnight of grueling action.

Girls’ football was played for the first time since inception of this tournament, more new schools joined the fray and definitely fresh talents discovered from the different games disciplines.
Vikas International won the girls’ football gold as Trinity Senior Academy took silver.

For boys (seniors); Agro Links Academy edged the hosts (Taibah International School) 6-5 in post match penalties under rainy conditions as normal time had ended goal-less.
“We did not hesitate to make the decision to take part in this tournament when the invitation came to us. The tournament has helped us to build a team that will compete favourably in the USSSA tournaments” Henry Kaweesa, director of Agro Links Academy stated.
Kisubi High School won the boys’ U-15 football gold.
Taibah International School won Netball gold.







Basketball:
Elite High School Bwabajja dominated Basketball with gold in boys and girls juniors, as well as the seniors.
Trinity High School won gold in volleyball.
Different outstanding individual players earned medals with each of the excelling teams taking home a trophy.

“We are humbled for the participating schools in the 2025 Taibah Independence schools sports tournament. The students and officials as well as the sponsors who decided to give us a push take the due credit” Robert Waibi, an official from Taibah International Schools remarked.
Ten (10) schools featured in this thrilling tournament that has produced many success stories in various sports disciplines.





Kizito Lawerence joined Alacante Spanish academy, Bonobana Slyvia from Bethel high school now Netballer with Victoria university, Nakamya Rebecca from Bethel high school also Netballer with Kyambogo university plus including Zizi Zola from Vikas schools is shinning of basketball at Alupe Kenya University.
This tournament was proudly bankrolled by Taibah International School, Doctor’s Hospital Seguku, Dfcu bank, SWT, Craydel, among others.
