Morocco is the champion of the FIFA U20 World Cup after lifting their maiden trophy at the grand stage.
Morocco secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against Argentina in the FIFA U20 World Cup at Estadio Nacional Julio Pradanos in Santiago, Chile.
Yassir Zabiri scored both goals as Morocco became the second African country to reach the mark after Ghana in 2009.
Zabiri broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a stunning free kick that left Argentina’s goalkeeper Santino Barbi fully beaten.
Zabiri doubled his tally in the 28th minute with yet another smart finish after connecting well with Othmane Maamma’s delivery.
From that point onwards, Argentina enjoyed the lion’s share of possession but was blunt and failed to beat Morocco’s well-organised backline.
Zabiri completed the campaign with five goals as he wrote his name on the back pages.
